The head of the Radiology and Medical Imaging Department of “Nicolae Testemiţanu” University of Medicine and Pharmacy, university professor Natalia Rotaru lost the battle with COVID-19 at the age of 57, IPN reports.
The University transmitted a message of condolence to the bereaved family, relatives and colleagues in connection with the premature death of the doctor.
Natalia Rotaru dedicated over three decades to higher medical education and the national health system.
So far, 51 healthcare workers succumbed to COVID-19. The deal toll from the disease in Moldova now stands at 1,851.
