The health system at the current stage will not remove the obligation to self-isolate that is imposed on persons who enter Moldova, Minister of Health Viorica Dumbrăveanu was quoted by IPN as saying in a news conference.

“There are different proposals, but the National Extraordinary Public Health Commission accepts them depending on the development of the epidemiological situation,” Viorica Dumbrăveanu stated when asked if the Commission will accept the proposal to eliminate the obligation to self-isolate after July 15, as President Igor Dodon suggested.

Viorica Dumbrăveanu noted that four cases of import of COVID-19 were recorded on July 2 alone. “Depending on the epidemiological developments, each restrictive measure will be reexamined,” she stated.

On June 29, after the working meeting with the Premier and Parliament Speaker, Igor Dodon said Premier Ion Chicu proposed that the National Extraordinary Public Health Commission should remove the obligation to self-isolate for 14 days for Moldovans who will enter Moldova after July 15.
