Thirteen laureates of the fourth Health Awards Gala received trophies in a ceremony held at the Organ Hall in the evening of April 23. The laureates were selected out of 50 teams and persons who filed applications for participation in the period between April 1 and April 10, IPN reports.
Minister of Health Mircea Buga said the event became a nice tradition of the medical community of Moldova and is staged in April, when it is marked the World Health Day. The persons working in the health system should make effort for health to become a priority.
Boris Galca, the Premier’ senior state adviser on health protection and social development, came with a message from Chiril Gaburici, saying the Government wants a European-like health system and welcomes development partners’ recommendations in this respect.
The trophy for the best family doctor‘s team went to the Family Doctors Center SANCOS for the quality of the medical services provided. The trophy for the best team of medical assistants went to CS Flamanzeni–Coscodeni of Sangerei district for high performance. The team of the Emergency Medicine Department of the Cahul District Hospital was named the best emergency medical assistance team, while the trophy for the best hospital team/section was awarded to the team of the Cardiosurgery Department of the National Clinical Hospital.
The trophy for the best management of medical institution was given to the director of the National Blood Transfusion Center Svetlana Cebotari, while the trophy for the best work done by public authorities in healthcare, other than medical institutions, went to the Ministry of Education. The PAS Center was named the most active NGO in the health sector.
This year’s Health Awards Gala was staged by the World Health Organization Country Office in Moldova, the Ministry of Health, the National Health Insurance Company and the Center for Health Information and Communication. It was held under the theme “Food safety”.
