The Healthcare Division of the Chisinau Municipality recommends private medical centers and drugstores to follow the example of family practitioners and install first aid points during the heat wave, Info-Prim Neo reports. Head of the Health Division Luminita Suveica declared during, a City Hall meeting, that 2600 people benefited from the 17 medical points opened in 12 centers of family practitioners and 5 diagnostic centers in Chisinau. Three of them were hospitalized. “We encourage private healthcare institutions to open such first aid points as well. If the drugstores joined our efforts, I really think we’d manage to deal with the heat wave”, said Luminita Suveica. Doctors recommend people to stay home on days with high temperatures. Those with health issues should avoid direct exposure to the sun and take the medicines prescribed by their doctors on time. The head and the face should be protected using hats, umbrellas or tissues. Clothing must be light, preferably of cotton, in light colors. Staying hydrated is of utmost importance.
