The tariff for the heat supplied by the public utility SA “Termoelectrica” to end-users in Chisinau municipality was raised by 81.22 lei (8.2%) per gigacalorie (Gcal) to 1,068.22 lei. A decision to this effect was taken by the Administration Board of the National Agency for Energy Regulation on September 16 and will take effect when it is published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Moldova, IPN reports.
In a press release, the Agency says SA “Termoelectrica” asked that the tariff should be increased by 27.4% to 1,257.38 lei/Gcal. Analyzing the presented calculations, the Agency decided that the tariffs will be raised by 8.2%.
The last time the hear tariff for end-users was adjusted by the Agency on October 21, 2011. Then the tariff was raised by 9.9% or 89 lei, from 821 lei/Gcal to 987 lei/Gcal.
