[Update] The National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) approved a 9.9% increase in the heating charge, up to 987 lei/ Gcal. According to estimates, 1.5 to 2 gigacalories is used to heat a two-room apartment a month. The ANRE will not accept a rise in the heating charge in Chisinau higher than 89 lei, up to 987 lei/Gcal, even if SA Termocom asks for a charge of 1 045 lei/Gcal, Info-Prim Neo reports. Termocom, which purchases three fourths of the heat supplied to end-users from the thermoelectric plants CETs, did the calculations based on the rise in tariffs asked by the two suppliers. In the October 21 meeting, the ANRE said that in the case of the CETs it cannot accept a tariff higher than 718.55 lei/Gcal for CET 1 and 587/.87 lei/Gcal for CET-2. The suppliers demanded that the tariff be raised to 768.39 and 613.35 lei/Gcal respectively.
