Heating season in Chisinau closed

Mayor Dorin Chirtoaca ordered closing the heating season in the municipality of Chisinau on Monday, March 22. Only the kindergartens and schools will continue to be heated, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the City Hall's press service. The decision was taken following the higher temperatures recorded during the last few days. At the same time, the General Division of Education, Youth and Sport asked that the education institutions be supplied with heat by April 1. SA Termocom started already to disconnect the consumers from the heating system. Fifty apartment buildings were cut off from the heat supply last week, at the request of the dwellers. At Monday's meeting of the City Hall, Dorin Chirtoaca instructed the services in charge to draw up a plan for action for the 2010 – 2011 heating season.
