Heavy rain and strong wind cause outage in parts of Moldova

Sunday’s driving rain with hail and the strong wind left many Moldovan settlements in darkness, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service. The electric power supply failed in Ocolina, Valoave and Redi-Ceresnovati villages of Soroca district and in 16 villages of Orhei district, including Lucaseuca, Teleseu, Mitoc, Vascauti, Cismea, Donici, Branesti, Zahoreni and others. Chetrosu, Gribova, Cotova, Popestii de Sus and Hasnasenii Mari villages of Drochia district also experienced blackouts. Works to restore the electricity supply are underway.
