300 students from a number of Chisinau high schools Friday took part in a flashmobbing event staged together with the General Division of Education, Youth and Sport and the Traffic Police Division. They tried to convince the drivers and pedestrians to obey the traffic rules so as to contribute to a lower number of road accidents, including those involving juveniles. ”Nothing is more expensive in life than life itself. We want the children who will soon enter vacation to be as healthy and well at the start of the new school year as well,” the head of the General Division of Education, Youth and Sport Tatiana Nagnibeda-Tverdohleb has told Info-Prim Neo. The flashmobbing was intended mainly for children because the number of traffic accidents involving them increases in summer. According to the Traffic Police Division, the 82 road accidents involving 92 minors that happened in the municipality of Chisinau so far this year resulted in no deaths. Ten children died in the 146 accidents with juveniles that occurred on the national roads over four months.
