The rehabilitated victims of the political repression of 1917 to 1990 will receive higher allowances from January 1, 2025. The Cabinet approved a 25% increase in the monthly allowance - from 1,000 to 1,250 lei, IPN reports.
A sum of 18.4 million lei will be allocated from the state budget for implementing the given decision in 2025. As many as 6,073 recipients of state aid will get higher allowances.
The draft decision approved by the Cabinet is to be examined and adopted by Parliament.
