Historian Mihai Iurascu has launched the first book in the Romanian area about the history of human society through creative resolution. It is a consistent book about the evolution of life on Earth titled “Problems of human society. Collection of history problems”. In the launch, the author said that he planned to write such a book long ago as he felt the need to interpret history through problems, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“It is known that history as a science is periodically in a crisis. History as other sciences should also involve in the problems faced by society and be useful,” said Mihai Iurascu.
The book is based on the occidental method of creative resolution of problems. It is intended for high school teachers and students who study history.
According to Mihai Iurascu, the creative solving of problems encourages the mental work of the students and develops creativity. “I think this book will be useful to all those who will want to study the past. I assure you that this is a very interesting phenomenon,” said the author.
Igor Sharov, the dean of the Faculty of History and Philosophy of the State University of Moldova, said the book is really an interdisciplinary call. “Many of the historians would say that such an approach is known, but nobody in our historiography tried to use it,” he said, adding that the book describes the interdependence of the man and the environment and offers proposals and solutions for solving them.
The book was issued in 1,000 copies. It was printed at the publishing house “Cartidact” with support from the company StarNet. It is dedicated to the author’s wife Ana Iurascu.
Mihai Iurascu is a teacher at the Chisinau high school “Prometeu”.
