Holiday lights lit on Chisinau's main avenues

Holiday lights have been lit on Stefan cel Mare avenue and on the Great National Assembly Square, Info-Prim Neo reports. Mayor Dorin Chirtoaca told a news conference Thursday that although they had proposed 5 places to erect the City Hall's Christmas Tree, the police rejected them, tendering no explanation. The mayor expressed his regret that organizing the winter holidays in the city is been problematic for the second year. “The attitude of the central authorities lacks inspiration and is full of folly,” Chirtoaca said. The holiday lights will be on till January 14. The Country's Fir Tree, installed on the central square by the Government will be inaugurated on December 19.
