The new houses for the inhabitants of Cotul Morii who remained without homes as a result of floods will be erected on a plot that is 3 kilometers from the Chisinau – Leuseni highway. The houses will include one, two, three or four rooms, depending on the number of family members and the size of the house damaged by the floods. The house and adjoining area will occupy 12 ares on average. The information was made public during a field visit paid by Prime Minister Vlad Filat, Info-Prim Neo reports. “We want to be permanently in contact with the people and our decisions must be coordinated with them,” the Premier said, adding the flood victims will be able to choose whether they want the state to buy houses for them or to build them. No matter what decision they take, everyone will be provided with dwelling by winter. Vlad Filat said the companies that will be selected to construct houses for flood victims could employ villagers and they will be able to earn money. A part of the land on which the houses will be built was under private ownership. The owners of that land will be allotted plots in other places and will receive compensations.
