The Hrușova Health Center in the Criuleni district will be equipped with a number of laboratory apparatuses valued at 16,558 dollars. The action is possible thanks to the signing of a grant contract financed by the Government of Japan under the Kusanone Program, between the Embassy of Japan in Moldova and the beneficiary institution.

The assistance will be used to buy microscopes, centrifuges, blood analyzers, biochemical analyzers and urine analyzers.

Japan’s Ambassador to Moldova Yamada Yoichiro said the new equipment will enable fatser and more accurate testing and diagnosis. Health care conditions will continue to improve as Moldova advances towards joining the European Union, said the diplomat.

Oxana Trocin, director of the Hrușova Health Center, said that thanks to the project, the population’s access to medical services offered at the level of primary medical assistance will increase, as the speed and accuracy of medical diagnosis will be ensured.

The human security grant program Kusanone was launched in Moldova in 2008. To date, Japan has provided non-refundable funding amounting to 7.3 million dollars for 89 projects (excluding the new project) in the fields of health care, education and public utilities.
