Young people who had been maltreated after the April 7, 2009 events will go to the Center for Combating Corruption and Economic Crime (CCCEC) this morning to take 'humanitarian aid' to the former municipal police chief Iacob Gumenita, Info-Prim Neo reports.
About 60 persons who had been victims of the police during those days and created a group on a socialization website want to show compassion for Iacob Gumenita, who is under arrest. They say they know what can happen in a remand center, where one can stay without food for three days. Therefore, they decided to take cracknels, cans and others products to the former police chief of Chisinau.
The young persons say those who want can bring socks, books, crisp biscuits, pickles, letters of support, tranquilizers or cigarettes. The 'parcel' intended for Iacob Gumenita will be taken to the CCCEC located at 200 Stefan cel Mare Blvd. at 10.00.
Iacob Gumenita was arrested on April 15 for ten days on suspicion he maltreated protesters on the night of April 8, 2009.
