The Embassy of Hungary transmitted by a bus to the Chisinau Theater “Mihai Eminescu” and the Cahul Theater “B. P. Hasdeu”. Attending the handover ceremony, Prime Minister Iurie Leanca thanked the Hungarian authorities for their friendly gesture and the Ambassador of Hungary for his support for Moldova’s European course.

“I’m sure that now you face no impediments for going more often to settlements and I’m convinced that you will disseminate messages in support of the country’s modernization there,” Iurie Leanca said, addressing the troupes of the two theaters.

For his part, Ambassador of Hungary in Chisinau Mátyás Szilágyi noted that the event forms part of the series of development projects that Hurray is implementing in Moldova. “It’s an honor for me to hand over, in the name of the Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, two buses in support of the Moldovan culture, which will facilitate the artistic life of the two troupes,” he stated.

The activities to develop the intercultural relations between Moldova and Hungary also include the mounting of an exhibition by Moldovan painter Dumitru Peicev in the Parliament Building in Budapest and promotion of other cultural initiatives. Today, Iurie Leanca visited the painting and graphic exhibit by Moldovan plastic artist Inessa Dermenji, which was staged inside the Embassy of Hungary in Chisinau. The exhibition will open on September 15 and will close on October 10.
