Identification papers will no more be legalized through power of attorney

The Moldovans will no more be able to legalize identity cards and passports through powers of attorney. The Foreign Ministry’s Consular Affairs Department has informed that Moldova’s embassies will not issue powers of attorney for legalizing identification papers anymore. Thus, the Moldovans who are abroad can file applications to embassies to be issued with identification papers, Info-Prim Neo reports. In accordance with a law adopted by the legislative body on July 9 this year, the identification papers are issued at request under an application filed to the competent bodies.
