Identity cards will look differently

From 2012, the identity cards will no more be accompanied by loose leaves, the head of the Informational Resources Center IS Registru Sergiu Railean announced in a news conference, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. According to him, the holder’s domicile will be indicated on the reverse of the identity card. It is not yet known where it will be written the information about the temporary place of residence, the registration of the marriage and other data that is now indicated on the loose leaf. Sergiu Railean could not say how these changes will affect the price of the identity card, which now costs 130 lei if it is issued in a normal regime. The exterior of the identity card may also be modified. By size and form, it will be similar to a bank card. Such models are currently used in a number of countries.
