Igor Dodon believes mayor will be elected by one round

The Communist Party’s candidate for the mayoralty of Chisinau voted for a prosperous and clean capital city with a European future. Igor Dodon cast his ballot together with his wife and their two sons. He expressed his conviction that the local elections in Chisinau will bring about important changes, Info-Prim Neo reports. “We are proud that we live in Chisinau municipality and are citizens of Moldova. We want a prosperous future for Chisinau and the whole country. I expect improvements and changes in Chisinau and I’m sure that they will be made,” said Igor Dodon. Igor Dodon’s wife hopes for a better future for the children. “I voted for a professional team that is able to built a bright future for our children and to make Chisinau a prosperous city,” said Galina Dodon. Igor Dodon entered the polling booth together with his youngest son Bogdan. He said that he thus cultivates the feeling of responsibility in his children. “The family always helps the politicians to make the right choice,” said the Communist candidate. He voiced hope that the mayor of Chisinau will be elected by one round. “I wasn’t a prophet in this election campaign and will not make projections. But I believe that there are real chances for the outcome to be final and it will be the best solution,” said Dodon. Asked why he cast his vote so late, the candidate said he went to church in the morning and prayed for Moldova and for Chisinau’s future. Igor Dodon will be waiting for the election outcome at the Communist Party’s head office together with his team.
