“I voted against oligarchs, corruption and the puppets of oligarchs in mayor’s offices. I voted for a professional administration of Chisinau, for an apolitical mayor,” the leader of the Party of Socialists Igor Dodon said after voting, quoted by IPN.
The Socialist leader called on the people to take part in the elections. “Everyone’s vote is important because the local elections are held once in four years. As regards the parliamentary elections, I think these will take place more often as we will have early elections,” he stated.
Igor Dodon urged some to take their baggage and go to the suburban settlements or to their friends abroad. “As a result of these elections, we will manage to root out corruption at the local level. Early elections will follow and those who stole the billions of lei will be jailed,” he said.
