The opposition must make common cause in the election campaign preceding the presidential elections, regardless of the political color, so as to replace the government, the leader of the Party of Socialists Igor Dodon stated in the program “Fourth power” on N4 TV channel, IPN reports.
The politician noted that he wanted to discuss this issue with the leader of the Platform “Dignity and Truth” Andrei Nastase, but the discussion was postponed because of the head of the Party “Action and Solidarity” (PAS) Maia Sandu. “As Maia Sandu delays the negotiations with Nastase, our discussion with Nastase is also delayed. I think Maia Sandu does this intentionally. She carries out the instructions of someone from the West,” he stated.
The Socialist leader said they will not discuss with the European People’s Platform of Moldova because its leader Iurie Leanca is the man of Vladimir Plahotniuc and his mission is to split the political right.
According to Igor Dodon, the chairman of the Party of Communists Vladimir Voronin is also Plahotniuc’s man. “Voronin is the ‘speaking trumpet’ of the Democratic Party whose duty is to tear away votes from the Party of Socialists. With all respect for Voronin and for the nice things we did together, I think this should withdraw and be glad that one of his pupils managed to build such a powerful party,” he said.
He expressed his conviction that he can win the presidential elections and one of the first actions that he will take as Head of State will be to withdraw the Moldovan nationality granted to the couple Traian and Maria Basescu.
