President Igor Dodon plans to make a new visit to the Russian Federation at the end of April. He made such an announcement in the program “Key issue” on NTV Moldova channel, IPN reports.
The President said he will have a series of meetings in Russia, including with representatives of the diaspora. On May 7, the President elect of Russia Vladimir Putin will be inaugurated and the agenda is now being agreed. “We have what to discuss with Vladimir Putin given the current bilateral relations and the security risks in the whole region, including the Transnistrian settlement process. There are many subjects to be discussed following the latest steps taken by the Government of Moldova and the recent developments in the world and the region,” he stated.
President Dodon also said that he will visit the United States in July in connection with the preparations for the World Congress of Families that will take place in Chisinau this year. “I will also have other meetings and these are being prepared by official channels,” he noted.
