The leader of the Party of Socialists (PSRM) Igor Dodon said the party he heads managed to conduct a fair campaign without violations. “We did a vote count in parallel. The count was finished in several villages already. In a village in Cahul, the Socialists polled 60% of the vote. I think the political opponents will be surprised unpleasantly by the results of the Socialists,” Igor Dodon said in a news conference held after the closure of the polling places in Moldova, IPN reports.

The chairman of the PSRM congratulated everyone on the end of a difficult election campaign. “I thank those who supported us as, according to the preliminary results, we were supported massively. We, the Socialists, will not disappoint you as the hopes are very high,” he stated.

Igor Dodon noted that the observers of the Socialists indentified many violations in the electoral process. They filmed buses with voters being conveyed to polling places in an organized way. The people didn’t enjoy equal voting conditions abroad. In some states in Europe, by 100 people voted at a polling place, while in Moscow – 15,000 people formed long queues at the only polling place when there were minus 15 degrees Celsius outside and could not vote.
