The chairman of the Party of Socialists Igor Dodon said that both the parties of the right and those of the left have now a common enemy and they must join forces to defeat this. He developed the issue in the talk show “Politics” on TV 7 channel, IPN reports.

“This enemy is Vladimir Plahotniuc, who captured the state institutions and established an oligarchic regime. We must protest together every week. We should also mount protests at embassies so that these do not support the oligarchic government. We must struggle together to obtain early parliamentary elections so as to bring Plahotniuc’s regime to an end. Afterward, each of us will promote their own political platform,” said Igor Dodon.

He denied the accusations of the leader of the “Our Party” Renato Usatyi, who said that he is a supporter of Vlad Plahotniuc. “I’m not related to Plahotniuc. He is my enemy, but he is also their enemy. Usatyi should not look for reasons to quarrel and should show political maturity. We must struggle together, not to become involved in ‘karaoke’,” said the Socialists’ leader.

Igor Dodon noted that he plans to stage a large-scale protest near the Parliament Building when the presidential election is held. “We will not suggest a candidate and will not allow a candidate to be nominated. We will also seek the dismissal of a number of institution heads,” he stated.
