Ilan Shor decided to leave the post of mayor of Orhei in favor of the seat of MP that he won in the February 24 elections, IPN reports.
Deputy mayor Diana Memeț will hold the post of mayor of Orhei on an interim basis.
The seat of MP is incompatible with the post of mayor and with any other remunerated post. The legislation gives the MPs 30 days to remove the incompatibility.
