On February 14, when Grigore Vieru would have turned 75, the Organ Hall will host a concert dedicated to the late poet. “I’m not Alone…” is a continuation of what Grigore Vieru wanted to do several years ago, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Emilia Ghetu, of the Chisinau City Hall’s Public Relations Service, said on February 15, 2004 Grigore Vieru wrote a hymn dedicated to Stephan the Great, which closed the musical performance “I’m not Alone…” held in 2007. In 2004, it was 500 years of Stephan the Great’s death.
The poet had worked on this concert for three years, but it did not happen as he planned. “We wanted to continue his message as, through the words “I’m not Alone”, the poet says that he is still with us and we are not alone. We will always remember him,” Emilia Ghetu said.
The concert will bring together Ninela Caranfil, Margareta Nazarkevich, Nicolae Jelescu, Ana Strezeva, Eugen Negruta, stefan Negura, Lilia and Dumitru Pocitari, Ana and Natalia Barbu, Gicu Cimbir, Cristina Pintilie, Cristina Scarlat, Osoianu sisters as well as children of the primary classes of the Chisinau High School “Gheorghe Asache”.
The singers will be accompanied by the National Chamber Orchestra conducted by Oleg Palymski.
The concert is organized by the Chisinau City Hall. It starts at 2 P.M. Entrance is free of charge.
