In the last session of the current Parliament, the Democratic Party, which holds most of the seats of MPs, will do its utmost to survive politically. The PDM will also take measures to remove its political opponents. The opinions were stated in the program “Politics of Natalia Morari” on TV8 channel, IPN reports.

Liberal Democratic Party vice president Ion Terguță said the last session of the current legislature will be boisterous and the PDM will do its best to service politically and to remain in power in Moldova. “We expect the rights and individual freedoms will be limited in a way that was probably never witnessed in the Republic of Moldova. Enormous pressure will be exerted on all the state institutions that will be maximally used in the interests of the Democratic Party,” stated the politician.

Liberal MP Lilian Carp said the PDM in the last session of the current legislature will be actually preparing for the election campaign. In the given situation, the PDM has two objectives – to promote itself by different activities by which it considers it can “grow Moldova”, and to remove the political opponents. For the purpose, it will use all the possible mechanisms to remain alone on the political arena.

Socialist MP Vasile Bolea considers the last session will be an intense one. The government will make effort to annihilate all the blows of the opposition. “There are yet facilities that can be privatized and I think they will intensely deal with such matters. Furthermore, the PDM will take part in the election campaign and, as all the participants, will try to showcase its good qualities,”  he stated.

As to the postponement of the parliamentary hearings that will involve the administration of the Prosecutor General’s Office and the National Anticorruption Center, the MPs said effort is being made to hush up the stealing of funds from the banking system.
