In the morning of March 3, the traffic was heavier at the Palanca – Maiaki-Udobnoe, Tudora – Starokazacie, Otaci – Moghiliov-Podolsk border crossing points. At the other frontier posts, the size of traffic was minimal, IPN reports, quoting the Border Police.

During the last 12 hours, up to 8am, the border police recorded 17,400 crossings to enter the Republic of Moldova. The traffic was heavier between 8pm and 4am. This morning, a train with refugees set off from Ukraine to Romania.

“We do not have calculations as to the time needed to cross the border to enter the country now. I can say the working regime is accelerated. When they reach the control line, the refugees pass through swiftly, without being delayed,” the head of the Public Relations Section of the Border Police Raisa Novitski has told IPN.

About 136,000 citizens of Ukraine entered the Republic of Moldova during February 24 - March 3.
