Over 150,000 people in the first quarter of this year paid the mandatory health insurance premium in a fixed amount. This is by about 58,000 people more compared to the figure for last year, IPN reports.
According to the National Health Insurance Company, over 74,000 people paid the premium in the amount of 2,028 lei. These are founders of individual enterprises and peasant farmsteads, patent holders, lessors, lessees, other citizens who are neither employed nor insured by the Government, etc.
Another 70,000 people, owners of agricultural land, paid the premium of 1,014 lei.
Also, about 4,600 citizens who carry out independent activities in retail trade, except for trade in excisable goods, paid the insurance premium in the amount of 1,622 lei, while nearly 1,500 people paid 4,056 lei for health insurance.
The money accumulated in the first three months of this year in the mandatory health insurance funds as premiums in a fixed amount totaled over 221 million lei, by almost 60 million more compared to the corresponding period last year.
