The persons who want to register an individual family doctor’s office or a family doctors center can file applications to the Public Services Agency. The Agency started to provide such services following the coming into force of a number of relevant legislative amendments on July 27 this year, IPN reports.
In a press release, the Agency said the family doctors centers are registered according to the procedure for registering legal entities, while the individual family doctor’s office according to the procedure applying to individual entrepreneurs. The legal entities can submit applications for registration to multifunctional centers or to subdivisions of the Public Services Agency where they are based. If an individual entrepreneur is to be registered, the application is filed at the place of residence indicated in the identity card. The applicants must present the constitution documents together with the appraisal of the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection.
The individual family doctor’s office and the family doctors center are forms of organizing the professional activity of family doctors by which these can practice independently. They can further work at public health facilities in spaces leased out by the central and local public authorities or can work in own private places or rented accommodations.
The new services provided by the Public Services Agency form part of the primary medical assistance reform initiated by the Government. Now the family doctor can independently choose the form of activity - individual family doctor’s office and family doctors center founded by two and more family doctors or service with an existing primary medical assistance provider.
