SA Moldovagaz has said that unknown people arbitrarily disconnected the dwellers of ten buildings from the supply of natural gas in Balti municipality on May 20. After the supply was restored, the next day the situation repeated, IPN reports.
According to the supplier, over 600 consumers remained with natural gas on May 20. The emergency service Gas Intervention reconnected all the end-users in four hours. In the morning of May 21, the dispatcher’s service started against to receive calls about disconnections from the gas supply.
The Gas Intervention service established that individuals intentionally halted the supply of gas. Operative groups of SRL Balti-Gaz are now performing reconnection works.
SA Moldovagaz warns that any unauthorized intervention in the natural gas system can have tragic consequences, including serious explosions. It calls on anyone with any information about the happenings to show civic responsibility and report to the police in Balti. An investigation is under way.
