An Employers Association of Industrial Parks will soon appear in Moldova. Its statutes and duties were discussed in the general assembly of industrial parks on June 26, IPN reports.
Deputy Minister of Economy Tudor Copaci said the Association will represent a platform for promoting the interests of Moldova’s industrial parks, attracting national and foreign investments, providing assistance to potential investors in the relations with the national authorities and disseminating the positive practices in organizing the activity of the industrial parks registered in Moldova and of the countries where such economic entities work.
Director general of the industrial park “Tracom” Vitalie Vrabie said the necessity of creating the Employers Association of Industrial Parks is supported not only by the park administrators, but also by resident companies. “The association will be a noncommercial, independent and apolitical organization that will promote the economic interests of industrial parks and will provide advice to parks with less experience in working out investment projects. We will carry out feasibility and other studies for potential investors,” he stated.
The association aims to extend its areas of activity and to transform the platform into a meeting place for professionals from the field of industrial constructions, engineering companies, designers, representatives of authorities and financial institutions, consultancy companies, foreign and national donors.
Since 2011, Moldova has developed a network of industrial parks that now includes nine entities. The investments made in these parks so far came to over 800 million lei. The parks manufactured products to the value of 842 million lei, mainly for export.
