The Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices will implement the first information system “Management of Medical Device” that will help the medical-sanitary institutions to efficiently manage medical devices, including in the process of planning and purchasing these, IPN reports.
In a press release, the Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices says the given information system will ensure interaction with accounting systems for synchronizing financial data with the aim of avoiding information doubling.
The Agency’s director general Vladislav Zara and REPEMOL project manager Silvia Morgoci signed the document for the receipt-transfer of the ownership right over the software. Vladislav Zara said that owing to this system, they will solve a series of problems related to the management of medical devices. “Owing to this information system, we will fill the existing gaps. The medical devices and the profitability of their use will be strictly monitored,” he stated.
Vladislav Zara also said that the health facilities do not have capacities and means for maintaining and repairing the possessed medical devices as well as personnel capacities and appropriate testing and measuring devices, while the services provided by private companies, in the absence of loyal competition, are mainly of a poor quality and preventive maintenance is superficial.
