The Ministry of Internal Affairs is putting up for sale, at a reduced price, 79,000 personal protective masks that were bought in excess during the pandemic period. The masks will be sold for 0.40 lei apiece, instead of the price of 2.50 lei for which they were purchased, IPN reports.
At the Cabinet’s ordinary meeting, Minister of Internal Affairs Adrian Efros said that the proceeds will be used to refresh and replenish the mobilization reserves. Selling them at a reduced price will exclude the recording of the goods as ‘lost’ or ‘waste’.
The period of validity of the masks (3 folds, 3 layers with elastic) expires in October this year.
