Supposed to be interviewed on Wednesday, the four candidates seeking the job of Chief Prosecutor for Combating Organized Crime and Special Cases will have to wait until a later date. This was decided by the pre-selection commission, which said it is still waiting for some information on the candidates from integrity inspectors.
“Considering that one of the goals of interviews is to evaluate how impeccable the reputation (of candidates is, and whether any reasonable suspicion exist (of them) committing any acts of corruption as defined by the Integrity Law, the Special Commission decided to postpone the interview phase until October 17, 10:00 a.m.”, a press release said.
Victor Furtuna, Alexandru Machidon, Andrei Mațco and Ion Neguriță are the candidates admitted to the interview phase.
