Klaus Iohannis, thee Christian Liberal Alliance’s candidate for the presidency of Romania, wants to federalize Romania, while Renato Usatyi wants Moldova to be federalized, the leader of the Romanian Social Democratic Party’s organization in Moldova Victor Alexeev said in a news conference at IPN.
“Iohannis is financed by Renato Usatyi’s brother-in-law who wants to build a wall along the Prut, like the Chinese wall, while Iohannis probably has inspiration to build his own Chinese wall in Ardeal, Transylvania,” stated Victor Alexeev.
He noted that the supporters of Klaus Iohannis in the second round of voting include Zsolt Szilagy of the Hungarian Civic Party, which publicly pleaded for Romania’s federalization. According to Victor Alexeev, Renato Usatyi plays Moscow’s game in Moldova and supports the country’s federalization, while his ties with Klaus Iohannis place him alongside the revisionist Hungarian politicians, Hungary being the main ally of Russia in the European Union. Also, Iohannis managed the Democratic Forum of Germans in Romania, which is the successor of Deutsche Volksgruppe – an ethnic Nazi organization in Romania supporting the separation of some regions from Romania.
Victor Alexeev called on the Romanian citizens from Moldova to vote for the Social Democratic Party’s candidate Victor Ponta in the second round of the presidential elections on November 16. Twenty-one polling places will be opened in Moldova for the second round, four of which in Chisinau.
