Ion Bodrug named director of General Police Inspectorate

Ion Bodrug was dismissed from the post of Deputy Minister of the Interior and appointed as director of the General Police Commissariat at the suggestion of Minister of the Interior Dorin Recean. The decision was taken in the March 5 meeting of the Government, Info-Prim Neo reports. Prime Minister Vlad Filat said that the Law on Police came into force on March 5. The director of the General Police Inspectorate is named for a five-year period. Vlad Filat asked the ministers to prepare themselves for two full workdays as they will hold meetings to adopt a number of important decisions. On March 8, the Government is to tender its resignation following a vote of no confidence given to it by Parliament.
