Iskra-Stal Rybnitsa on Wednesday defeated Dacia, 3-1, in a XX round match of the National Division, climbing on the second spot in the standings, Info-Prim Neo reports. Iskra-Stal struck their opponents with three bewildering goals in just five minutes early in the second half, with the Dacians managing merely a consolation goal later in the game. As a result, the Rybnitsa-based club replaced Dacia on the second slot in the standings, as the Yellow Wolves remain winless in 2010. The current champions, Sheriff Tiraspol, toyed with the bottom-placed Nistru Otaci, 5-0. Vladimir Volkov of Serbia scored a hat-trick. This result further distances the Tiraspol-based club from the holders of the second place. Elsewhere, St.Gheorghe were beaten by Viitorul Orhei, 7-0. The hero of the game was Alexandru Cucu, who found the target thrice. Zimbru Chisinau won 1-0 against CSCA-Rapid Ghidighici. The fixture between Olimpia and FC Tiraspol had the same outcome.
