Two young men are suspected of stealing property assessed at €25,000 from the apartment of an Italian situated in Chisinau, Info-Prim Neo reports. Adrian Jovmir, the head of the General Police Commissariat's press office, said the Italian citizen runs businesses in Moldova. He went to Italy for a period and found his apartment in Chisinau robbed when he returned. One of the arrested suspects is 22 and is a resident of Chisinau. The other one aged 28 is from Ceadar-Lunga. They both have a criminal record. They had been tried for theft and drug distribution. The police suspect the two stole goods to the value of over 46,000 lei from another apartment and committed other thefts in Chisinau's Rascani district. The two men face a fine of 6,000 to 20,000 lei, 180 to 240 hours of community service, or up to four years' imprisonment.
