Prime Minister Iurie Leanca gave his condolences to the families and relatives of those who lost their lives in a railroad accident in Moscow region today. He also offered his compassion to those injured in this accident, IPN reports.
Five people died and 45 were hurt in the train accident. According to a communiqué of the Government, Iurie Leanca asked Moldova’s Ambassador to Russia Andrei Galbur to travel to the scene and offer assistance to the passengers involved in the accident.
The tragedy happened at Bekasov-Nara station of Naro-Fominsk town at noon on May 20. Train No.341 was running on the Moscow – Chisinau route. The identity of the victims is being established.
Minister of Transport and Road Infrastructure Vasile Botnari ordered creating a rapid intervention cell to manage the effects of the tragic accident.
