The leader of the European People’s Party of Moldova Iurie Leanca said that in the new round of consultations with the head of state the participants in the discussions could not take a step forward again, IPN reports.
After the consultations, Iurie Leanca said he is very disappointed that this step forward could not be taken in this period of profound crisis. “Nicolae Timofti gave us time until next Monday to try and agree a magic formula so as to move on firmly,” he stated.
The politician added that first the PLDM, during two weeks, could not decide whether to take part in the negotiations on the ruling alliance or not and then they could not agree which of the parties should field the candidate for premiership, during another week.
Leanca noted that if a compromise is not reached by the start of next week, the European People’s Party of Moldova will convene its National Political Council to decide how to act further.
