JCC delegations pledge to refrain from hasty actions

The delegations to the Joint Control Commission (JCC) have pledged to refrain from taking actios that could strain the situation in the Security Zone. The decision was taken at JCC's meeting on Friday which addressed the recent installation by Tiraspol of unauthorized 'border guards and migration posts' near the village of Pohrebea and on the eastern side of the Dubasari Dam, Info-Prim Neo reports. In a press release by the Moldovan delegation to the JCC it was said that the discussions aimed to identify and advance proposals to overcome the impasse caused by the installation of those unauthorized posts. To “ensure continuity in the process of supplementary consultations”, it was decided to held the next JCC meeting on November 1. The two checkpoints were installed at the beginning of this week.
