The joint meeting of the Governments of Romania and Moldova is accompanied by protests. There are two groups of protesters totaling about 50 persons. The first group demands that Moldova should unite with Romania, while the second group accuses the Romanian authorities of the difficult situation in the neighboring country, Info-Prim Neo reports. Members of the organization “New Rights” chanted “Bessarabia is Romania!” and “Great Romania – we want the old borders!” in front of the University “Alexandru-Ioan Cuza” in Iasi, where the joint meeting of the two executives is taking place. Alongside, residents of Iasi carried placards with the words: “Romania’s political class is gangrened” and “Iasi, wake-up!”. The Romanian press reported that protests were also staged on Thursday evening, when the Romanian Cabinet arrived in Iasi. The people chanted that Mihai-Razvan Ungureanu is the spy of President Traian Basescu and fulfils all his orders.
