Reporters and IT specialists from ten regional TV channels, including from the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia, have been trained to extend their audience by using the possibilities offered by the virtual environment during two days, IPN reports.
Alexandru Lebedev, trainer in social and online journalism, familiarized the participants in the training seminar with methods of adjusting the televised contests for online platforms and with different efficient instruments for placing and distributing them swiftly.
The core subject of the seminar was the creation, maintaining and development of online communities. The members of such communities, founded by regional TV channels, will be involved in debates centering on issues of common interest, including the European theme. The participants in the seminar said the active partition in the online community will stimulate civilian journalism and will contribute to diversifying the media products offered to the public.
The seminar was held within the protect “Strengthening capacities of Moldovan local mass media for ensuring citizens’ access to objective information about the values of democracy and the Association Agreement with the EU”.
The two-year project is implemented by the Mass Media Program of Soros Foundation Moldova with support from the Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor of the U.S. Department of State.
