Justice Ministry accepts bids for notary vacancies

The Justice Ministry has established the conditions to organize a contest for notary vacancies. The regulation was published on June 5 in Monitorul Oficial al Republicii Moldova (Official Gazette), Info-Prim Neo reports. This contest takes place twice a year as a rule, in February-March and October-November. The vacancies and the date of holding the contest are published 30 days in advance in Monitorul Oficial. The tests to be passed are published by the Justice Ministry at least 30 days before holding the contest. The contest commission is formed for a 4-year term from 6 members: a representative of the Justice Ministry, 2 notaries and 3 law professors. The contest may be attended by notaries with at least 1 year of experience. The bids for the contest shall be submitted at least 20 days before. The contest unfolds in two stages: the first – a grid-test with 400 questions viewing the civil law, business law, international private law, etc.— plus a written exposition and an interview. The results of the contests are published on the official site of the Justice Ministry. The application for the practice of notary activities shall be submitted to the Justice Ministry 15 days before publishing the results of the contest.
