The Konrad Adenauer Foundation is willing to support the reform of the justice system in Moldova, applauding the quality of the 2011-2016 Reform Strategy, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to a press release from the Ministry of Justice, Thorsen Geissler, the director of Konrad Adenauer Foundation's Rule of Law Program South East Europe, announced at a meeting with Moldovan Justice Minister Oleg Efrim the Foundation's availability to endorse the reform promoted in the field by the Moldovan Government through the Ministry of Justice. Oleg Efrim, for his part, showed his appreciation for the offered support and expressed openness to cooperate on any project. The Program aims to contribute to the development and solidification of an efficient legal order that is in accordance with the fundamental principles of the rule of law and as such both a core element of a democratic system, and a prerequisite for accession to the EU. The Rule of Law Program South East Europe concentrates on six subject areas: Constitutional Law, Procedural Law, Protection of Human Rights and Minority Rights, Fight against Corruption, Coping with the Past by Legal Means, and European Legal Order. The countries included in the Program are Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Moldova, Romania and Serbia.
