The National Committee for Financial Stability examined the plan of action concerning the detailed investigation into the suspected irregularities and operations performed by “Banca de Economii”, “Banca Sociala” and “Unibank”. The document will lay at the basis of the investigation process that will represent the continuation of the preliminary investigation performed by the US company Kroll. The meeting of the Committee was convened by its chairman, Prime Minister Valeriu Strelet, IPN reports, quoting the Government’s press service.
The draft plan of action was recently finalized by the National Bank and was endorsed by experts of the International Monetary Fund and of the World Bank.
The meeting participants examined the plan of action, submitting proposals for improving it. It was underlined the importance of selecting a famous international company for providing the given services, based on a contest that will be organized by the central bank, in strict compliance with the current legislation, and of ensuring the correct informing of society in this regard.
Valeriu Streletr instructed the responsible persons to add the proposals formulated in the meeting to the plan of action and to present the final document in the next meeting of the National Committee for Financial Stability.
