Large quantity of corn stolen from Coshernitsa company

About 14 tonnes of corn to the value of approximately 2 million lei were stolen from a company based in Coshernitsa village of Criuleni district. The police arrested three young men, who are suspected of the theft, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to a communiqué from the Police Department, the police were alerted by the company’s owner. One of the three suspects was earlier tried for similar offenses. When questioned by the police, the suspects admitted their guilt, saying they sold the corn to persons from Boscana, Criuleni and from Sangera commune of Chisinau municipality, with whom they reached a preliminary agreement. The culprits face 7 to 12 years in prison.
