Largest tricolor ever spread in central square of Chisinau

The largest tricolor of all times was spread out in the Great National Assembly Square on the occasion of the National Day of Romania that is celebrated on December 1. The organizers of the event said the flag had been made during three days and cost over 3,000 lei, Info-Prim Neo reports. Pavel Munteanu, a member of the Civic Movement “Actiunea 2012” and one of the event organizers, said the young activists of Moldova wanted to mark the National Day of all the Romanians in a special way, by spreading the largest tricolor ever. The money for making the flag was donated by volunteers and members of “Actiunea 2012”. Pavel Munteanu also said that the event involved more than 300 young people from all the country’s districts. The tricolor stretched in the Great National Assembly Square is over 1,000 square meters in area.
