Last start for Moldovan biathlonists before Olympiad

Moldovan biathlonist Natalia Levchenkov ranked 27 in the 10 km pursuit race in the sixth stage of the World Cup, Info-Prim Neo reports. She missed only one target at the shooting range, climbing thus 31 spots. In the sixth stage that took place in the Italian resort of Antholz-Anterselva, Levchenkov competed in two more events. In the individual 15km race, she finished 17th, while in the 7.5 km sprint – 58th. The other Moldovan biathlonists showed modest results. In the world rankings of the current season, Natalia takes the 37th position with a total of 138 points. The next competition for Natalia Levchenko is the Vancouver Olympics that will take place between February 12 and 27. Experts say Natalia Levchenkov has the greatest chances of winning a medal at the 2010 Olympic Games. In the Olympic biathlon, Alpine skiing, ski de fond and sledding events, Moldova will be represented by eight sportspersons.
